Social Concerns
In challenging economic times it would be easy for an individual or church to put its own needs over and above those of others. Charity may well begin at home, but it should never end there.
Holy Trinity Church therefore commits itself to supporting through giving and prayer a range of charities and Christians less prosperous than ourselves, among them:
Donations to the Shelter Food Bank can be left in the Lady Chapel.
The Anglican Church in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Specifically the work of Bishop Desiree in Goma.
Foundation for Reconciliation and Relief in the Middle East
FRRME is run by Canon Andrew White who works to bring support to the Christian communities and others in the Middle East.
As supporters of the Fairtrade movement there are occasional sales of of goods after the main service, and wherever possible Fairtrade products are used in the church.
